Author Description

Helen Rodriguez was brought up in Burma and at 26 became Matron of the local hospital. During the Second World War she tended the casualties in appalling conditions. Bayoneted, starved, tortured, she faced each crisis with fortitude. This is a story of a triumph of the human will over almost impossible adversity which makes one proud to read of this courageous, indomitable woman.
