"The Collins Junior Thesaurus" is the companion to the "Collins School Thesaurus". Although it is written in an informal style and looks different from an adult thesaurus, the information for the most part is arranged according to the same principles. The thesaurus features over 130 keywords each of which is presented in large coloured type in the centre of the page. The whole design of the thesaurus emphasizes the connection between the keywords and words of related meaning. "The Collins Junior Thesaurus" is intended as a component of the primary school writing process.
