This book investigates the nature of extreme paranormal encounters through the personal experiences of a professional psychic medium. Derek Acorah, a well-known television personality in the United Kingdom, draws upon his career as a medium to document his most intense interactions with the spirit world. The text serves as a collection of anecdotal evidence regarding demonic possession, violent hauntings, and encounters with malevolent entities, framing these events as genuine threats to the physical and spiritual safety of the practitioner.

The subject matter points to a sensationalized, anecdotal account of paranormal phenomena intended for readers interested in supernatural entertainment. The framing suggests a focus on the author's personal brand of mediumship rather than a rigorous or scientific investigation of the spirit world.
