A cursed prince awakens, and a young witch must decide whether to save him or destroy him. Merry, a teenager with a connection to witchcraft through her grandmother's coven, is thrust into a dangerous situation when Prince Jack, cursed for fifteen hundred years, awakens beneath a local lake. Tasked with dealing with him, Merry, with the help of her brother Leo, struggles to control her burgeoning powers and find a way to break the curse. As she grows closer to Jack, Merry finds herself wanting to save him rather than fulfill her duty to destroy him, leading her to question if true love's kiss can overcome ancient magic and save her life as well as her heart.

This electrifying dark magic debut by authors Katharine and Elizabeth Corr introduces a compelling blend of fantasy and romance. The premise sets up a classic conflict between duty and desire, with a young witch tasked with confronting a cursed prince she finds herself falling for. The narrative appears to focus on Merry's internal struggle to control her powers and her growing affection for Jack, questioning the efficacy of a true love's kiss against ancient magic. The book's structure as the first in a trilogy suggests it lays the groundwork for further adventures and character development within its magical world.
