Menrva's Summary
THE THESIS
This book investigates the intellectual contributions, career backgrounds, and foresight of the key figures responsible for the creation of the European Monetary Union. Kenneth Dyson and Ivo Maes, both established scholars in European political economy, utilize a combination of original archival research and primary source interviews to analyze the foundational logic behind the Euro. They argue that understanding the reservations and networking strategies of these architects is critical to evaluating the subsequent sustainability and structural challenges of the Euro area.
