Author Description

This document is a data compilation designed to provide a quick and comprehensive look at emissions of the main pollutants inventoried by various sources. Data are presented in four sections for Ontario, Canada, the United States, and North America. Data in each section are grouped under the subsections of historical trend, annual emissions, major sources, and other emissions. Emphasis is on sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides emissions and on the two base years of 1980 and 1985. Complementary tables for volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide, and particulates are added for the base years only. All emission tables are accompanied by illustrative charts.
