Bronaugh moved an amendment to the motion that it be made a part of the special duty of the committee to be appointed to work for the adoption of this act, which amendment was accepted, and the motion, as amended, was duly carried. Mr. Kraemer: The second bill is an act to establish a law uniform with the laws of other states relative to the execution of wills. (Reads section 1.) Mr. Bronaugh moved that the association recommend the adoption of the act. Motion was duly carried. Mr. Kraemer: The next act is an act to establish a law uniform with the laws of other states relative to the probate of foreign wills. (Reads act.) After a brief discussion, on motion of Mr. Bronaugh the matter was referred to the committee, the appointment of which had already been recommended. Mr. Kraemer: The next act is one to establish uniform laws with other states relative to weights and measures. That has been approved. The next is to establish a law uniform with other states relative to the transfer of stock in certain corporations. (Reads act.) Mr. Fenton: I believe that that act should properly be referred to the committee. The act is an important one, as it affects stock in corporations, and especially stock pledged as collateral. Our Supreme Court has taken a different view as to stock pledged as collateral, so far as its voting power is concerned, from the law of most of the states, and this and kindred questions arise, and I move that it be referred to the committee to consider and recommend. Seconded. Carried. Mr. Kraemer: Out of order, but properly following the last, is the law relative to insurance policies. (Reads act.)
