This book explores the profound implications of Kurt Gödel's revolutionary cosmological model, which posits time travel as a scientific reality and suggests the unreality of time itself. Palle Yourgrau delves into the meeting of minds between logician Kurt Gödel and physicist Albert Einstein, examining Gödel's unique universe where time travel is not merely a philosophical concept but a scientific possibility. The author argues that Gödel's model, developed in the shadow of Einstein's theories, reveals a deeper, previously unacknowledged meaning of the Einstein revolution concerning the nature of time. This work aims to unveil that secret, half a century after Gödel and Einstein's pivotal interactions.

The book presents a complex theoretical argument, likely appealing to readers with a strong interest in the intersection of logic, physics, and philosophy. The premise suggests a dense, analytical text that challenges conventional understandings of time and cosmology. The focus on Gödel's model and its relationship to Einstein's theories indicates a work that engages deeply with foundational concepts in modern science. It is positioned as a work that offers a unique perspective on a significant scientific and philosophical debate.
