This work presents the Union Prayer Book's Slichot service, a collection of penitential prayers recited in the period leading up to the High Holy Days in Jewish tradition. It aims to provide a comprehensive and accessible text for congregational use, facilitating communal reflection and repentance during this significant time in the Jewish year.

This liturgical text is regarded as a standard resource for Reform Jewish congregations observing the Slichot service. Its inclusion of Hebrew, transliteration, and English translation makes it a practical tool for prayer leaders and congregants alike. The compilation aims to foster a meaningful observance of the penitential season. The work serves as a bridge between traditional prayer forms and contemporary understanding.
