The first in Routledge's new series, The Future of Trade Unions in Modern Britain, this book deals with the questions of employee representation, trade union recognition and membership of unions in Britain. Pushing forward the boundaries of academic research on unions, this book takes an interdisciplinary approach, and involves employment relations specialists as well as academics from economics, psychology, business and labour history, sociology, marketing and geography. Each chapter will overview a different topic and include original research based on primary data collection.
