This manual details the clandestine use of explosives by British Home Guard Auxiliary "stay behind" parties during World War II. Originally disguised as "The Countryman's Diary 1939" by "Highworth Fertilisers," this document served as a vital, yet secret, guide for Auxunits tasked with sabotage and resistance behind enemy lines. The content focuses on the practical application of explosives for disruption and defense, intended for operatives who might find themselves isolated and needing to employ unconventional tactics against an invading force. Its rarity underscores the sensitive nature of its original purpose and the historical significance of its survival.

This professionally-bound reference copy is designed for researchers and historians, offering a more substantial and better-produced version than the extremely rare originals. The original manuals, often mere stapled sheets of paper, were intended to be unobtainable, highlighting their clandestine nature. The content itself provides a unique insight into the specialized training and preparedness measures undertaken by the British Home Guard during World War II. Its historical value lies in its direct documentation of wartime resistance planning and the ingenuity employed to disguise sensitive operational materials.
