This volume investigates the theological and practical imperatives for the renewal of the sacred liturgy within the contemporary Catholic Church. The Society for the Renewal of the Sacred Liturgy presents a collection of addresses and papers that argue for a return to traditional liturgical practices and a deeper reverence for the Mass. The text serves as a manifesto for those seeking to align modern liturgical celebrations with historical ecclesiastical norms and theological depth.

The subject matter points to a specialized text intended for clergy, theologians, and laypeople deeply invested in the liturgical debates of the late twentieth century. The framing suggests a formal, traditionalist perspective that prioritizes historical continuity and theological precision in the practice of the Catholic faith.
