Set in a hillside village in southern Spain, two women meet and embark on an exploration of the mysterious parallel stratum, of being where heightened emotional patterns work themselves out. Adelaida Morales, who won the Herralde Prize for Fiction in Spain with this novel also wrote "El Sur".
