This is the seventeenth annual edition of the World Development Report, the standard reference source for international economic data. This edition contains a special section on the importance of infrastructure in economic development. Chapters include creating incentives to improve services in the public sector, creating market-orientated solutions to improving infracture, protecting the environment while reducing poverty, financing private initiatives in building infrastructure, and setting prorities in infrastructure reform. The unique data included in each annual edition have been updated.
