Author Description

Susan Gelman (BA, Oberlin College; Ph.D., Stanford University) is the Frederick G. Huetwell Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Gelman has most recently authored The Essential Child(OUP, 2003). She is a past president of the Cognitive Development Society and has served on numerous editorial boards. In 2008, Dr. Gelman was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
