This special edition of Progress in Research marks the centennial of theResearch Branch of Agriculture Canada. It has been compiled to illustratethe progress that has been made in 100 years of research by recording some ofthe major results and achievements that have occurred between 1886 and 1986. Research programs focus on soil management, crop and animal productivity, protection and resource utilization, biotechnology, and food processing andquality.
