One of the first attempts (published in 1974) to take an objective look at the Third Reich and National Socialism, published by a leading US academic. His conclusion was that most of what has been said about Nazi Germany was propaganda, and that both sides in World War II were responsible for atrocities. Although set firmly in the Cold War era, this thesis contains much now-suppressed information.
