Autobiography and a local history of the Kulla Valley in the the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Home to the author, the broad valley, flush with orchards, lies along the banks the Beas River, nestled between the Pir Panjal, Lower Himalayan and Great Himalayan range. This is the story of how Christina Noble arrived in Lullu in 1970, and never left, as well as a vivid portrait of local life.
